Hmm what to do on a Sunday during the fall when there is nothing but football on the tube and Monday and the work week is looming overhead?  How about a guided hike and wine tasting at Haight Vineyard with MTFM in Litchfield, CT??

We will start with a moderate (3-4 mile) hike in White Memorial Foundation as our guide provides us with interesting history and facts of the area. We will move onto a well-deserved rest break for lunch and then sample the delicious wines of a local vineyard.  Along the way are shops and points of interest that we will stop at and explore.

Included in the price:
Lunch, a guided hike in White Memorial Foundation, a visit to the nature center in White Memorial, historical/cultural information, a walk in historic Litchfield, and potentially a visit to the White Flower Farm and of course a MTFM Goody Bag.

With your own container garden, put together under the direction of a master gardener and the TLC of your own hands, you will use your imagination to create and enjoy your plantings. Get ready, roll up your sleeves and go to work! 

Lead by Claudette Amen, Certified Master Gardener and owner of Flower Me Pretty, LLC, specializing in container gardening, floral design, and parties and occasions, you will take home your own masterpiece housed in a container of your choice (you provide) lasting you into months of winter chill. Cost for workshop includes all materials except container.

Items to bring: 7"-10" container, trowel, pruners, bucket, paper towels or hand towel.

Suggestions for containers: High fashion glazed pot, a modern self-watering container,  your favorite ceramic bowl that now has a crack in it, an old boot - you get the idea.  Have a look around the house and you may see things suitable for container gardening that previously you thought were plain ole' junk.

Novice to art and galleries and want to learn more?  An appreciator of fine workmanship?  Then this is the event for you.  Novices and experts alike will enjoy this fine day strolling the galleries with a pro and like a pro.
